Michael's story, shunning suicide funeral this past weekend
by nibbled inwow.
this story is so stunningly sad.
the good guy finishes last, as he has a crisis of conscience and ends up leaving behind four kids.

Yup...I viewed Michael Moore's pre-recorded video also. I watched the video with a couple of friends. We all could relate to what Michael was saying about the pain & hurt of shunning. It sounded like to us he was determined to fight for his wife and kids...he related how his goal was to keep his family in tack... all while the elders were encouraging his wife to leave him on the grounds of 'Spiritual Adultery'...Michael says he'll follow-up with more videos...then came the update from the narrator Jeff that Michael had taken his own life just this past week May 24th 2022.
Yes indeed...Michael R I P!
Lesson for the rest of us...the Jehovah’s Witness religion is extremely toxic and it will kill you if you're not careful!

The Watchtower—Study Edition | February 2022 Trust in Jehovah ...We really meant ''the Governing Body''
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower—study edition | february 2022. study article 6. do you trust in jehovah’s way of doing things?.
15 as the end of this system of things draws near, we need to trust in jehovah’s way of doing things as never before.
during the great tribulation, we may receive instructions that seem strange, impractical, or illogical.

WT is at it again with their "we may receive instructions that seem strange, impractical, or illogical" reckless, scary talk! Take note of this paragraph in this week's WT study article:
"Another way that Jehovah provides direction is by means of “the faithful and discreet slave.” (Matt. 24:45) At times, this slave may give direction that we do not fully understand. For example, we may receive specific instructions designed to prepare us to survive a natural disaster that we think is unlikely to occur in our area. Or we may feel that the slave is being overly cautious during a pandemic. What should we do if we feel that the instructions given are not practical? We can think about how the Israelites benefited by heeding the counsel given through Joshua and Zerubbabel. We can also think about other Bible accounts that we have read. Sometimes God’s people received direction that did not appear to be practical from a human standpoint but turned out to be lifesaving."—Judg. 7:7; 8:10 (March 2022 WT Study Article #12 pg 19 par 16)

The following is a quote from the infamous 1969 Awake magazine that is not available to JW rank & file. The title of the article: Do Not Pursue Higher Education:
"If you are a young person, you also
need to face the fact that you will
never grow old in this present system
of things. Why not? Because all the
evidence in fulfillment of Bible
prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years. Of the generation that observed the beginning of the "last days" in 1914, Jesus foretold: "This generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur."-Matt. 24:34. Therefore, as a young person, you will never fulfill any career that this system offers. If you are in high school and thinking about a college education, it means at least four, perhaps even six or eight more years to graduate into a specialized career. But where will this system of things be by that time? It will be well on the way toward its finish, if not actually gone!" Awake May 22, 1969 pg 15Those children & young teens to whom this article was initially written are now in their 70s & 80s...with no retirement...without a home to call their own...little to no money in the bank...hardly any net worth...dependant and a burden on friends and family...very sad!

Wow...I remember the years leading-up to 1975 only to well! A prominent WT D.O. had coined the phrase..."Stay Alive Til '75"!
Many put their lives on hold over WT's speculation about 1975. One family in particular stands out: 1) The brother (elder) sold his home; 2) Quit his high paying job; 3) moved to 'where the need was greater' 4) spent/wasted all his money; 5) family broke apart...separated...divorced; 6) husband died 1st...poor...alone...in disgrace; 7) wife died recently...was ill & suffered for years; 8) the rest of the children are grown adults...some disfellowshipped.
This WT 1975 hunch turned out to be nothing but toxic and poisonous hype!

WT boasts having a cohesive, united worldwide 'Brotherhood' of over 8.5 million JWs spread-out over 120,0000 congregations. When in reality what is playing-out in real time paints a detached & disjointed picture of religious misfits.
What you really have are closer to 4 million attending in-person Kingdom Hall meetings. My quess is that half of those in-person attendees are like bumps-on-a-log...sitting there stupidly silent...preferring to be home on Zoom off-camera with the other 4.5 million.
Gawd-Almighty...things really don't look soo good for the WTBTS & its future based on what's taking place post-pandemic...Yay!

May 1st is just around the corner...It's been nearly a month since JWs started in-person meetings. It started out with a Bang!...but it appears in some areas meeting in-person attendance at Kingdom Halls is worse now than pre-pandemic!
After talking to several individuals in the circuit, many congregations are finding 50% Zoom meeting attendees with cameras off still & the other 50% at the kingdom Hall. Week by week it seems to get worse. So, for the congregation that I'm assigned to which has approximately 150 publishers...75 or less are at the Kingdom Hall & 75 or more are home on Zoom with cameras off.
That can't be good for the mental, emotional & spiritual morale of those attending the Kingdom Halls...Yay!

What are Jehovah's Witnesses' stance on home ownership?
by timothytha inwhat do people usually think of when they buy a house?
"i will probably live here for a long time" (you're invested with your time), "i will save money by building equity over time".
(you've invested in yourself financially for the long run) of course, i wouldn't be able to list the numerous reasons why people want to buy a house.

Simplify...Simplify...Simplify!
That has always been the mantra of the JW religion. This is also the reason why soo many senior JWs are in such a poor financial state as they reach retirement. JWs have repeatedly been told to put her/his own life on hold & instead...'Seek 1st the Kingdom'!
The recent upswing in the U.S. housing market has added hundreds of thousands of dollars (💸 💵 💲) to homeowners' networth. Sadly JWs, being discouraged from buying a home, are missing out & instead paying a hell of alot more on rent and further in debt!

Likely? Might? May? Sounds an awful lot like people who in reality are know nothings trying to impress the gullible with what they [think they] know.
This is the type of terminology a crooked used car salesman uses...if your not careful you will wind-up with a lemon! :) :)
